GLOSSYBOX IS 2!! May 2013 Birthday Edition Box

5/15/2013

This month Glossybox became 2 and I was quick to realise it would be a good idea to re-join in, in all the action. It was a smart move, because today I received May's Birthday Edition box and it's a good 'un! Not only did Glossybox give everyone an extra gift of a little pack of mini nail files, but I was also given more than one full sized product!

This month the box was tied with a neon pink ribbon, wrapped in beauty/birthday tissue paper and sealed with a number 2 sticker. Inside my box were three full sized products, 2 product samples, as well as the extra Glossybox gift.

The first full sized product is a Headline Colors nail polish. In the leaflet inside the Glossybox, the shade I received (Twisted Silk) is pictured as part of the Spring/Summer Collection, however online, it's shown in the Autumn/Winter collection. Anyway, whichever collection the polish comes from, after quickly testing it out, I found it to have great application and a glossy finish. The Twisted Silk colour is a very pale, girly pink which would work great with a tan this summer. It also says they're limited edition so you can check them out over here if you're interested!

The next full sized product is a Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes mascara. It's part of the One Swipe and Go collection and usually retails for £15! You can find this over on their website here.

I was also sent a Caudalie Divine Oil which can be used as a massage or bath oil, or
for your hair, face, or nails. In the leaflet it says "...its unique blend of grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan oils are immediately absorbed into the skin with a non-greasy finish...". This costs £4.05 for 15ml and can be found here.
The two sample sized products are from Beautiful Movements Cosmetics and L'Occitane. Previously you may have been given a BM Beauty loose powder like I did. BM Beauty is now known as Beautiful Moments Cosmetics and this time in the box we were sent a Prime & Create Mixing Medium. This is a new launch and is a clear aloe vera based gel. It can be mixed with any powder to create a cream based product or used as a primer to achieve a matte, shine-free base. I also received a L'Occitaine en Provence Angelica Hydration cream for face and neck use, which is stored in a small pot, ideal for handbags!

I really like this month's box and the added bonus of more full sized products was great!
